Chum Reap Sour again ! I'm Sophon, travelers usually call me Tom. I'm a very friendly, passionate, enthusiastic and trustworthy tour guide. I was born in 1988, just ten years after the Khmer Rouge Regime in a small village near the Mekong River in Kampong Cham province, about 170 miles from Siem Reap. I have three brothers and two sisters and we are all living in Siem Reap now. After finishing high school in 2006, I moved to the capital city of Phnom Penh, but the following year, stressed by the hustle and bustle of the big city, I decided to move again to Sihanoukville, the most beautiful coast in Cambodia and maybe in the entire Asia! Beaches there have shining white sand, super blue cleaning water, and untouched islands. Few years later, I moved to Siem Reap, the most famous tourist destination in the country, where I attended Engish Classes. After attending my TEFL in 2011, I graduated in English for Education in 2015 and I was ongoing of Master Degree in Education. Apart of these, I used to be an English Teacher in several NGOs including Life and Hope Association Organization, as well as private schools like Future Bright International School, etc. Now I'm a well-trained and licensed tour guide by Ministry of Tourism. I have been guiding travelers to Angkor complex and all over The Kingdom of Cambodia since 2016. I love being a Tour Guide so much so far due to I always have beautiful experiences with this job and of course I want to share my beautiful culture, arts, amazing rich history, and all beautiful places of Cambodia to the world. Moreover, I want to get to know and learn different cultures as well, meeting people from all over the world. Thus, I'm looking forward to sharing and providing you with an exciting and interesting trip to the temples of Angkor, and all the surrounding areas in Cambodia. Yours Sincerely, Sophon - Uncompleted Master Degree in English for Education - Bachelor Degree in English for Education - Licensed guide by Ministry of Tourism - Certificate Of English IEAP (Intensive English for Academic Program) - Former teacher of English at private school and organization - I don’t guide you at The Wildlife Rescue Center - I don’t guide you at Artisans Handicrafts Art School (they have the experts) - I usually don’t drive by myself
