I have been working as a tour guide since 1988. In 2001 I finished my degree and became an official guide for Pernambuco State , Recife is the capital , Brazil and South America. I work as guide/driver, with my own cars and vans, up to 15 people, guiding in Recife, Olinda, and all State of Pernambuco. I also guide Brazilian groups in buses up to 65 people taking them to historical sites and paradise beaches, about 1 to 2 hours drive from Recife. English, Spanish, French, Italian and Hebrew speakers are VERY WELCOME. I can tour you around with great pleasure. My tours are VERY RELAXED and PRIVATE and my goal is ALWAYS to offer the BEST I can give. So no hurries, with stops for pictures, explanation, delicious and fresh coconut water, contact with local people, artists, hand crafters. . . etc. Tourism and guiding for me is MUCH MORE THEN JUST A PROFESSION. . Overview of your Recife tour
In this private tour we will take a look to the history and art of Recife Central area and Boa Viagem Beach. Starting to walk at Marco Zero Square, in the Old Recife Area, we wil see from the outside, the First Formal Sinagogue from all Americas- KAHAL ZUR ISRAEL from 1636, Puppets Museum, with the giants figures, as Michael Jackson, Beatles, that is taken in the streets during Carnival and The Good Jesus Street. We will have free time in this area for a coffee and photo stop. We will go inside at Casa da Cultura (House of Culture), that used to be the main Recife prison from 1860 to 1973, where today is a handcraft market, with more than 60 shops. Great HANDCRAFT to buy. After lunch, we will visit Boa Viagem beach, located I the southern part of town, with its RECIFE (Reef in English), the typical kiosks, by the sidewalk, where you could drink a CAIPIRINHA (local liquor). Photo stop. We can costumize the tour as traveller's preference
