Pinnacles Desert Day Tour

I have taken many, many tours through the Pinnacles Desert and I never grow tired of it. It is a truly baffling landscape and is very much like something out of sci-fi movie set. The jury is still out on the scientific research, despite a fair amount of pondering! I have my own whacky theories which I will happily share with you - Prof. Peter The Pinnacles are approximately 2 hours straight drive north of Perth, (2hrs 40 mins from Fremantle port), I rarely do that drive straight as there are a few places along the way and we all need a stretch now and then. The Desert itself is a real mystery. You will come away with more questions than answers - Sorry! This is a day of landscape and photography for enthusiasts and I love sharing my knowledge in photography and picking up tips myself as well. I'm also a passionate lover of Western Australian flora and Aboriginal culture & practices so you will get a lot of local knowledge about the country I'm showing you.

A standard itinerary for this day tour would include: - Yanchep National Park - where you'll see kangaroos (unfazed by your stealth-like ninja moves) quietly nibbling on grassy open ground very close to you. The park also has a Koala enclosure with some very sleepy, furry tree huggers which you can spot from a boardwalk below. - Yanchep Lagoon. A pretty piece of reef coastline - popular with locals. - The kooky fishing town of TWO ROCKS - very imaginatively named as you will see with some interesting connection to the Pinnacles which I will point out for you. - Lancelin Sand Dunes for the more active who want to slide down and climb back up again over & over until near death. Quad Bike (ATV tours are also optional there) - at your cost. Lunch is generally taken at the very popular Lobster Shack and is largely seafood based.
