Historic Swan Valley Wine Region - Full Day Private Tour from Perth- Shore Excursion

You can’t go wrong with Paul as your guide. He’s personable, knowledgeable and very nice to be around. We had an absolutely fantastic day with Paul exploring the swan river wine region. He picked us up at our hotel promptly in a spacious and spotlessly clean ford van and we headed out exploring. We visited three different wineries for tastings, focusing on small boutique places with outstanding wines, had a fantastic lunch at a 4th winery overlooking the vineyards and even stopped off to try amazing local honey before finishing at a large chocolate producer. Paul provided lots of great information along the way and was a superb guide. While the swan river is tiny in terms of Australian wine production, the quality and variety were first rate. We have had many guided wine excursions around the globe in Europe, South Africa and South American yet there’s always something new to discover in a new place from the Chenin Blanc to the blends. Fantastic tour! Looking for a great day of touring some of WA best wineries in the Swan Valley, make sure to hire Paul Montague. Paul is knowledgeable about Perth & the Swan Valley area, also has a good understanding about wines & specifically those made locally. He has good relationships with the wineries we visited (Olive Farms, John Kosovich & Mondoon) which made each stop very enjoyable. We sampled some of the best wines. There were 3 of us on this tour & Paul fit right into our group. His comfort in conversation showed he was an experienced tour guide. We learned a lot & also had great fun. This made the day truly enjoyable for all. I would highly recommend Paul to anyone travelling to Perth and is interested in learning about Perth, Swan Valley area & local wineries. I will look up Paul again when I get back to the area for a tour. Thank you Paul for the great day!

I can’t recommend this enough, it really was a treat. Paul collected us in his minivan, on time from the hotel. On the way to the Swan Valley, Paul told us the story of wine making in WA from the earliest vineyards to modern day methods & grape varieties. His knowledge was astonishing. A couple of vineyards, lunch at an amazing restaurant, and visits to a chocolatier, a cider producer & finally a stop at a boutique gin & vodka producer & we were on the way home. Fantastic day & a great guide.

Paul was a wonderful guide! He geared our tour to our needs and was extremely well versed and knowledgeable. He also was a delight to spend the day with. My husband and I enjoyed his insights and enthusiasm. He made our day in Perth one of the most memorable tours we've taken!

Fantastic tour. Even though our cruise ship changed its itinerary, Paul adapted our tour to ensure we got the maximum experience in our shortened amount of time. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a true local experience to Swan Valley. Wish we lived closer to take advantage of this tour more often.
