Big Perth Day Tour

Being a real Perth local means you'll get a fair bit of "backstory" about what I'm showing you. When the first American to orbit the earth, John Glenn, flew over Perth one night in 1962 in Friendship 7, he famously referred to Perth City as the "City of Lights". At the time excited locals actually put bed sheets out on their lawns & rooftops to light up their houses in advance of the historic flyover…(yes - seriously!) You wont see any bed sheets on this tour though I'm sorry! Tour buses can't get to where I take you either, and some places aren't even that well known by locals - but they all tell a story. This tour is popular for its massive content, flexibility and its local focus. Expect to see the coolest things plus what you've seen in the brochures. Perth is a big place and there's a lot to see here so while I can show you what you want - I do love to include my own personal local favorites which I feel set us apart and make us different.

Every group I've taken on this tour has different interests & expectations. The sites I find interest most people on this tour would include: - The historic, arty and very chilled Fremantle Port city. ( "Freo" to the locals). A drive through the tiny residential heritage workers cottage backstreets, stops at street art locations, heritage sites such as the Old Roundhouse, fishing boat harbour, bars and fabulous restaurants. Freo Markets open Fri - Sun. - Beautiful riverside drives between Freo and Perth. - The fabulous Cottesloe ("Cott) beach and Perth coastline. - (Arguably) The largest botanical garden in the world - Kings Park and the eclectic tourist magnet - the Blue boat house. - Short walks or drive through Perth city lane ways and multicultural Northbridge. - Perths City Farm - an iconic community institution since the 1980's.
