Hi! You are seeing this profile mainly because I love my country and I really enjoy tour-guiding. I am an Albanian, born and raised in Tirana, who has lived through the dramatic changes of the Albanian capital in the past 36 years. Although I have traveled extensively in my adult years, I am always thrilled to come back to my home-city. As the saying goes, "East or West, home is the best". If you choose to travel Albania with me, you will find out that I am passionate about the stories behind every street or corner, buildings and ruins, old neighborhoods or skyscrapers, traditional cuisine and fancy restaurants. I am fascinated by the ancient history of my country, enriched by its culture and traditions, challenged by the dynamics and changes, forever in love with its attractions and thrilled to be able to show you around. I have been working as a full time tour guide since 2008 and it seems like I am going to be doing this for many years to come. BunkArt is one of the most recent museums opened in Tirana. It is situated inside the nuclear shelter of the Albanian Communist Leader Enver Hoxha which is located within a military base compound and was kept secret for many decades. The nuclear bunker with more then 100 rooms in five levels is build underground and is part of the defense strategy of Albania during the Cold War. After visiting the underground bunker, we take the cable car which which takes us to Mountain Dajti. The ride is 15 min long and offers panoramic views of Tirana. Once we arrive in the Dajti Natural Park we can walk for some minutes and/or enjoy lunch in one of the restaurants in the area. As a Tirana homeboy I have lived under the communist regime and also experienced the revolution that brought to an end the 45 year long dictatorship. The places and street we are going to visit are not just part of the tour, they are a part of my life and I am going to share it with you.
Adrian was probably the best guide I have contacted on this platform. He is very flexible (even helped us secure PCR tests in the morning), very well known (every merchant and official said hello to him), very knowledgeable (we went to Kruje, on the way back he drove me through Tirana story telling all the buildings and even the stories of other destinations) and very well mannered. Ardiolo was wonderful ! She was prompt courteous knowledgeable and friendly ! !we had a great day in Tirana . Van was cool large and comfortable for 9 people in our group .she made our day extra special ! Highly recommend tours by locals .

The tour will start at your hotel or specified place and will continue with walk and drive around the city. Then we continue to BunkArt and after at the cable car.
