My name is Elio and I am a professional tour guide with a great passion for introducing travelers to this new and exciting destination, called Albania. Overview of your Tirana tour
Berati: The City of "One Above One Windows" & Historic Durrës Morning: Travel from Tirana towards the Museum City of Berat, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2008. First, stop in Durrës, one of Albania's oldest towns. Founded as Epidamnus in 627 B.C. by Greeks from Corfu and Corinth. We will visit the highlights: the Roman Amphitheatre, Byzantine Forum, Venetian Tower, ancient city walls, and the Archaeological Museum. Midday/Afternoon: Berat Exploration Continue to Berat. Upon arrival, we visit the imposing Castle and explore the Onufri Museum inside. We then descend to Mangalem, one of Berat's three historic medieval quarters. This area, nicknamed the "City of Windows one above the other" (often romantically translated as "Thousand Windows"), showcases the unique Ottoman architecture. We'll visit the Bachelor's Mosque, cross the historic Gorica Bridge, and view characteristic 18th and 19th-century dwelling houses. After a short free time, we depart for Tirana.

Berati & Durrës Day Tour (Approx. 8-10Hours) Meet guide Elio at your location for a full-day tour. Morning (7:30 AM): Tirana to Durrës Travel to Durrës. Visit this ancient town (founded 627 B.C. by Greeks from Corfu & Corinth). See the Amphitheatre, Forum, Venetian Tower, city walls, and the Archaeological Museum (approx. 2 hours). Late Morning/Midday (11:00 AM): Travel to Berat Continue to the UNESCO Museum City of Berat (approx. 1.5-hour drive). Afternoon (1:00 PM): Berat Exploration Visit the Castle (260m above sea level), the Onufri Museum, Bachelor's Mosque, Gorica Bridge, and 18th/19th-century dwelling houses. Late Afternoon/Evening (5:00 PM): Return to Tirana After a short free time, depart for Tirana. (Arrival approx. 7:30 PM).
