Guide #21719
I am a multilingual and multicultural person with a university degree in languages and a member of the local guide association. Having travelled and lived in different places enriched my personality and made me curious about people. I enjoy very much interacting with them and that's why I still continue working as a guide even if I am already retired. I have been guiding individual tourists and groups in and around Geneva and Switzerland on and off for over 30 years. I am passionate about this place and its fascinating past and present. Since I am a local, I am well informed about the current issues and challenges of this region. I will not count the time I spend with you. My main concern is that you enjoy your stay here and hopefully come back again. Official guide of the Tourism Office of Geneva. University licence in languages (University of Warsow) I am not a driver.

We had a lovely time, walking the old part of Geneva with Maria. She was very friendly, knowledgeable and shared much of Geneva’s history. We also took the bus with her to see the Red Cross headquarters, learn the story of its founding, and see the entrance to the U.N. all in all, a very enjoyable three hours.
It is always great to learn about history from a local perspective.
Maria was a wonderful guide full of information and every patient and accommodating with our group. We saw so much and learned a lot and she didn’t mind adjusting to our pace where necessary. Our group was slow movers and she made sure to consider that wherever we went. I’d highly recommend
