Guide #61594
Hi there! I'm Aodán (A traditional Irish name from our native tongue, Gaeilge), your friendly guide to the wonders of South West Ireland and beyond. I grew up in Killarney, surrounded by outstanding natural beauty such as Irelands tallest mountain range, The MacGillicuddy Reeks, the Killarney National Park and of course the world famous Lakes of Killarney. I believe that being a tour guide isn't just about spouting facts; it's about creating a connection. As we journey through Irelands picturesque landscapes, I'm here to be your storyteller, your cultural interpreter, and your local companion. With an insatiable curiosity and a penchant for uncovering hidden gems, I'm here to reveal the layers of history, culture, and nature that make this island so special. I won't bombard you with a memorised script, but rather, I'll share authentic insights and personal anecdotes that breathe life into each location. My goal isn't to overwhelm you with information, but to paint a vivid picture that helps you truly feel and understand the soul of these places. You'll find me as excited to explore as you are, embracing spontaneity and welcoming your questions and curiosities. So, if you're looking for a guide who doesn't just scratch the surface, but digs deep into the heart of our surroundings, then join me. Let's embark on a journey where each step is an opportunity to discover, learn, and share in the magic that Ireland has to offer. Aodán I have grown up in Killarney and amassed over twenty years of experience working in both hospitality and tourism. I possess both a Public Service Vehicle (SPSV) Driver's License and a Vehicle License, enabling me to operate as a professional driver across Ireland. With my license, I am authorised to drive my luxury MPV which is capable of accommodating up to seven passengers along with the driver. My expertise extends beyond driving; I am also an experienced guide, ensuring you receive a comprehensive and informative experience as we explore the landscapes of Ireland together. Ireland boasts many state-owned sights and attractions, complete with their own on-site guides. While these sites warmly welcome visitors, please note that a ticket might be necessary to fully experience the interior of these structures.

Aodan was terrific! He arrived just as planned, made adjustments to our itinerary based on what we wanted to see and was kind, engaging and easygoing He had a brand new van, navigated the narrow roads with expertise and shared much about the history, culture and specialness of Ireland. We recommend him and would definitely rebook if we travel to Ireland again.
Six of us had an amazing day with Aodan. He entertained us with interesting facts and folklore. We were enthralled by the Skells Border Collie/sheep herding demonstration. A surprise stop at Waterville golf club for lunch was lovely, beautiful views. We really appreciated Aodan sharing his personal experiences with us. Highly recommend this tour.
I wrote Aodan with very few specifications, one being that I didn't want to spend most of the day in the car trying to see all of the sights. So, he planned an amazing day around Killarney for our group of 6. We had great conversations, learned a lot, and got to spend the day seeing amazing sights. I think my favorite was Ross Castle, which is not something I would...
Our 2 days with Aodan were magical. From my first interaction with him, he was helpful & professional. Once we met and started the tour we simply enjoyed every minute. He made us feel safe & comfortable, and got to know each of the 4 of us. Aodan shared information & stories about the places we were & the things we were seeing that made them come to life. I’ve been on...
