Unique Hanoi Off the Beaten Path Full Day Tour

Our two days with Leon made us fall in love with Hanoi and Vietnam. Leon is most knowledgeable, personable, and has a fascinating perspective on Vietnam’s culture and history. When he heard we were headed to the train station right after our tour, he insisted on booking us a legit two-hour hotel room so we could freshen up. His attention to little details like that made the experience special. His “off the beaten path” theme showed us a side of Hanoi that we couldn’t have explored alone. As foodies, we were thrilled when Leon brought us to hidden street stalls with some of the tastiest and cheapest sandwiches and Pho we encountered on our trip. As Americans, visiting a prison and learning about the Vietnamese outlook on colonialism and war was tragic and moving. Our time with Leon didn’t feel like a tour — we made a friend, and I feel like we’re getting to know Vietnam intimately. Above all else, Leon is genuine and trustworthy. Make this the first thing you do in Vietnam. I promise you it will be a highlight of your trip.

Leon is a magnificent guide! He is extremely knowledgeable about Vietnam's history and culture. We had a unique tour of Hanoi sites that were not included in our river tour itinerary. His English is excellent, and he was a pleasure to be with. We feel very lucky to have had Leon as our guide.

Continuation of comments since we had 2-1 day tours. Leon was incredible well informed, knowledge enthusiast, compassionate and funny. He was well aware of my bad knees and made sure we has rests and breaks when needed. He was able to customize our tour for our interests. If you are unsure who to book.... just do it, you will be very happy with him and his tours.

It was a living history with commentary. He was on time ready for us when we walked down into our hotel lobby. It was a very comfortable car with great Air.( this was so appreciated since it was very hot and humid!!). Leon was an amazing guide. by the end we were great friends. I would definitely recommend him!!!!

I can't say enough great things about Leon. We had an all day tour on our first full day in Hanoi and all of Vietnam. Leon did not disappoint! We could not have images how much we would learn in one day. The food ,the culture, the coffee. All exceeded expectations ! Leon brought Vietnam to life for us. I will be forever changed by this day.
