Great highlights tour of the city, along with some delicious street food. Sammy was wonderful and open to accommodating our ask to see Bat Trang pottery village and try our hand at some ceramics. She took us to try some different local coffees - both excellent! - and our favorite meal in Hanoi Bun Cha, and even sent me her recipe so I can attempt to recreate it at home. All in all a lovely overview of the city with a wonderful guide
Sammy did a great job showing us around Hanoi, she customised the tour to our needs and interests and provided useful tips that helped us get the most out of our day with her. Her English is outstanding and her knowledge of the city and overall history of Vietnam is something to note.

This tour was the highlight of our time in Hanoi. We’ve done many tours on our SE Asia trip and we all agreed this was our favorite. Sammy is an expert guide. She is a great communicator, knowledgeable about the history and culture of Vietnam and was willing to engage in open and interesting conversation all while showing us the city highlights. And, we ate absolutely delicious food at places we would not have found on our own. I highly recommend her and the itinerary she has put together. It was the perfect day for us.
Incredible experience in Hanoi and Ninh Binh! This was my friends’ and I’s first time to North Vietnam and Sammy made our first 2 full days so incredible. She was attentive, accommodating, flexible, and acutely aware of our comfort and needs at all times. Her English is spectacular and her attitude even better. She showed us around Hanoi and then did a food tour with us. She also took us to the Ninh Binh area for a day, which was spectacular. There’s a reason why she is rated so highly her on Tours By Locals and we definitely made the right choice having her be our guide. The next time we return to Hanoi and are in need of a professional to help us, we will not hesitate to contact Sammy again.
