Hello! My name is Samuel, but you can call me Sam. I have two passions in life. Creating music and giving tours out of Skagway. I grew up in the Arizona desert, but in 2013, for a change of scenery, I took a summer job here in Skagway, Alaska. I had no idea how much I would LOVE it! It is my favorite place! I decided to stay and I now call Skagway home. Being such a small community (population 600 in the winter), it wasn't long before I knew everybody. I love the people who live here, I love the rich history of how this tiny town in the middle of nowhere came to be (hint: The last great gold rush of 1898). And, of course, I absolutely LOVE the vast natural beauty. It has the most impressive views I have ever seen and its VERY different than Phoenix, Arizona! When you come visit Skagway and take a drive with me up north into Canada, I know you will understand why I love Skagway. I am always eager and happy to show new people around. I have been a dedicated private tour guide since 2017. I am told people enjoy my tours because I am patient, curtious, laid back and have a good sense of humor. I believe your vacation should be relaxing and FUN! I consider it my job to put your mind at ease, show you the good stuff, tell you the interesting facts and maybe even try to make you laugh. The best part about my tours is that they are private and CUSTOM! We stop where and when you want to stop and I will cater to your specific interests and needs. Like hiking? We will pull over and go for a hike. Don't like to get out of the car? We will stay in and troll the roads for wildlife! I hope you will join me and give me the honor of sharing with you my favorite place! -Sam I have a chauffer's license. If you have a wheelchair, it has to be a compact foldable chair so that it can fit in the van. No wheelchair lift. Must be able to get in and out of vehicle.

Explore the last frontier on a private tour, stopping where and when you want! Let me show you my beautiful, wholesome town and hear about its not so wholesome history back in the last great gold rush of 1898. Driving north up the South Klondike Highway, we'll see the most awe-inspiring nature scenes as we drive through BC and into the Yukon. Here we often spot some of the many wild animals who call this area home. Along our trek, you'll enjoy several photo stops and possibly take a short hike. Other optional stops include the Yukon Suspension Bridge or Tutshi Dog Mushing Camp (payment required). After a lunch break in the tiny Yukon village of Carcross, we'll journey further north to see "The Smallest Desert in the World". Breathtaking lake views are everywhere, but at our furthest point, we'll see the most beautiful lake of all-the infamous Emerald Lake. Its colors will stun you. After a full day, we'll head back to Skagway. Can't wait for you to join me! Let's explore this amazing land together!
Throughout our journey, I can share many bits of history, fact, humor, and perhaps tall tales I've picked up during my adventures in the quaint city of Skagway. Or, if you prefer, take in the breathtaking beauty in silence or with your music. It's all up to you. This is your day and I want to make it the most memorable experience you'll have on your Alaskan vacation as we visit the following sites: Pick up at Ship's Pier (7:30 to beat the crowds unless you want to sleep in) Skagway Town Tour Denver Glacier Overlook Pitchfork Falls Bridal Veil Falls Moore Creek Bridge Welcome to Alaska Sign Border Crossing into British Columbia International Falls Tormented Valley Overlook **Yukon Suspension Bridge (optional, paid stop, time permitting) Tutshi Lake Panoramic View **Iditarod Dog Mushing Camp (optional, paid stop, time permitting) Tagish Lake Welcome to The Yukon Sign Venus Silver Mine Bove Island Overlook Village of Carcross, Yukon Lunch Carcross Desert Emerald Lake Tutshi Lake Boat ramp (if we have time)
