Overview of your Seattle tour

Let me share my love and knowledge of "The Mountain" with you. I have led tours to Mount Rainier for over 15 years and know so many stops to get you off the beaten track, away from the crowds, and into the woods where you can truly experience the magic of this national park without having to navigate maps, guide books, or wonder which stops will be the best. I will show you waterfalls, glaciers, giant trees, and sublime meadows. We will sit beside glacial rivers and breathe clean mountain air, and generally, have the mountain all over us by days end! You can choose your activity level as well as pacing, with options to "linger longer" or "cover more ground". This is a seasonal tour with bookings beginning on Jun 15th and concluding on Sep 15th

Our day trip to Mt Ranier National Park on Thursday July 16th was absolutely wonderful. Our guide Elizabeth was exceptional: extremely knowledgeable, superbly engaging and very responsive to our specific interests in planning the agenda for the day. Liz is very emotionally connected to the mountains and very well informed about local history and geography, and the flora and fauna of the region. She arrived with chocolate muffins, we had a very comfortable ride, and such a varied experience: gorgeous views of mountain glaciers and deep forests, beautiful waterfalls, serene lakes and meadows filled with wildflowers. Liz tailored our tour to maximize our time at Mount Ranier National Park. We left early in the morning to beat the crowds, which was largely successful. Liz used her years of experience and nearly encyclopedic knowledge of the Park to take advantage of the changing weather conditions to highlight the diverse features of the park. We were in awe time after time. We could not imagine a better way to explore Mt Ranier National Park.

If you want an amazing Mount Rainier experience, then I highly recommend this tour. We went a bit early in the season, so some areas were closed off, but Liz knows all the spots/trails to take to fully experience the epicness that is Mount Rainier. My wife and I enjoyed it so much that we talked about coming back with our daughter and doing a second tour here with Liz. She really gives you a sense of the surrounding history and biodiversity at Mount Rainier.

Your Seattle tour itinerary

Leave town as early as possible ( I like to pick guests up by 7am but we can leave earlier [or later] Earlier start times give us the morning light for photographs, as well as getting ahead of gate lines and crowds 1st stop prior to park arrival for groceries and snacks Arrive at Park entrance / take photos Stops will include forest stroll, National Park Headquarters, glacial river stop, waterfall stroll, and Paradise for an extended stop for lunch/visitor center, and exploration of the meadows . Once we depart here, we will stop in the Stevens canyon for a walk at reflection lake, and canyon overviews. I can customize the day to your areas of interest.
