You'll also find old-growth forests, lakes, freshwater and saltwater marshes, streams and tideland meadows. This site is a great bird-watching location, from tiny hummingbirds to the broad-winged Bald Eagle. For lunch we make our way to Long Beach via several scenic stops e. i. North Head Lighthouse and Beard's Hollow. Once at the village, we'll have about 2 hours free time to explore. We might even put the truck into 4wheel drive for a short drive along the beach.
