Greetings! I would like to introduce myself, I'm Ron. We're going to have a great day touring my new hometown. I use to visit San Diego many years from Los Angeles before finally deciding to move to San Diego. Why did I move to San Diego? Because of the laid back life style, awesome people, less traffic, and beautiful weather. There are amazing beaches that are easily accessible, cool pockets of neighborhoods and great eateries. A little about me. I have worked in the produce industry for over 25 years servicing major hotels restaurants and country clubs. I am very service oriented, and I enjoy interacting with people. I enjoy sports, seeing live sporting events, passion for traveling the world and finding that awesome unbeaten path. I have used ToursByLocals from my past travels to Japan and Switzerland, I am very familiar with the service which brings me to this unique opportunity to be your guide. It would be my pleasure to be able to share interests of my new hometown of San Diego with you. Let's get going and enjoy the day together! Produce Sales Executive, 25 years. Licensed Optician, Cal State Northridge With my work experience in produce sales, it brought me an introduction to world of tourism which I've been able to learn from and utilize with my job. I gained the knowledge of how to tour economically, to see the off beaten path with the locals, cleverly navigate through cities and focus on seeing snapshot of places when visiting with short amount of time. This gave me to have the instincts of a travel guide.

Today, thanks to Ron, I discovered how each San Diego neighborhood has its own charm. He managed to distribute so eficiently my short time with him that although covered so much distant, was never in a rush. I love to walk but we had to use the car to effciently cover all the ĂĄreas we went to visit and incredibly enough he managed to park the car and walk me through important landmarks in La Jolla, Coronado Island and Harbour Drive at port Village and USS midway, giving me a complete experience of San Diego. He was ready to adjust according to my feedback and gave me great recommendations on other things to see on my extra time in San Diego. Make sure you also ask him the best places to eat around town, this is another reason to choose Ron as your tour guide while in San Diego. Thank you Ron for an unforgetable day :)
We had a day after a cruise ended in San Diego. Unfortunately, it was a miserable rainy day. BUT, Ron picked us up at the ship and made the best of it. Very comfortable car, he provided water, and overall was very flexible (stopping for us to get coffee and restroom breaks). We drove to the city highlights, and if the rain allowed, were able to get a few photos. Then we stopped in Little Italy to pick up a sandwich for the flight home, and he dropped us off at the airport. It was a great 1/2 day.
Ron is a most delightful guide...he is knowledgible. enthusiatic about encouraging us to ask as many questions and suggest what we would desire to see and then even expanded on what he thought might be interesting to us. All of his suggestions were wonderful. he is a happy and joyous person to be around, with a kind and friendly sense of humor which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Our guide, Ron, was extremely knowledgeable and personable. I would highly recommend him to anyone visiting the San Diego area. We had been in town for a few days and Ron seamlessly tailored our tour to places we had not seen and in which we had an interest. We've relied upon Tours By Locals many times and have always been happy we did.
Ron gave us a superb tour last Friday of San Diego before boarding our cruise the next day. I've been on numerous guided tours by road, ship, etc. and Ron ranks up there with a 5 plus rating. He knew his area, was very personable and accommodating of our requests and even helped us find the best Filipino restaurants in the area. It'll be hard to find another one like him. By the way I've used Tours by Local before and highly recommend them. Aurora S
