San Diego Highlights Full Day Tour

Let's visit the must see sites in San Diego! On this tour, we'll see 3 locations that changed the city's history. One of them, also among my favourite places to visit, The Del, once the largest hotel in the world. Together we'll walk through its beautiful Victorian style structures to get a glimpse of its history. Another one is the 1913 Cabrillo National Monument, established in remembrance of Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo who led the first European expedition in the West coast. This monument protects coastal tide pools, hiking trails around it, and is adjacent to a museum that reflects upon the Kumeyaay indigenous tribes that lived in the area for millennia. When I was younger I was very intrigued learning of them. The other historical location we'll explore is Old Town San Diego, considered “the Birthplace of California”, for it marked the first permanent Spanish settlement in the state.

-Once we've gathered we'll take a drive and cross over the iconic Coronado bridge. -We'll then stop at “The Del” (the nickname of Hotel del Coronado), the crown jewel of the island. -Next, we'll stop by "The Cabrillo National Monument" and take in the beautiful views of San Diego Harbor and the downtown skyline. -Our next stop, just down a hill from The Cabrillo Monument, will be some beautiful tide pools surrounded by stunning natural scenery. -Ideally, we would have lunch at this point of the tour (there's some great Mexican food in the area I could recommend!) -Our last stop would be the "Old Town", the Birthplace of California. -Finally, I'll drop you of at the meeting or pick up location.
