I was born in Leningrad, now St. Petersburg, in the Soviet Union, and left for the USA when I was 23 years old, just out of college. Leningrad was and still is a city with great cultural traditions. I fell in love with its world-famous museums, art galleries, theaters, and other attractions. I have been guiding tours for most of my life and began while still in high school. During the summer, Leningrad was visited by numerous youth groups from the UK and USA and English-speaking students were recruited to show them around. That is how I got my first taste of being a tour guide. I continued guiding through college and often worked with young adults. After leaving the USSR, I settled in New York City, went to graduate school, and started my own travel company in 1985. We primarily worked with international visitors showing them famous places of interest all over the country, from coast to coast. Though I had other tour guides working at my company, I continued to guide because it was rewarding and enjoyable. I traveled extensively throughout the country and that's how I first became acquainted with South Florida. I instantly fell in love with this beautiful place and eventually moved to the Miami Beach area. I love South Florida and want my tourists to feel the same way. I will take you for a ride (literally) through the most interesting and picturesque sites of the Miami Metropolitan area. I will pick you up from the place of your choice in the morning in our 8-passenger luxury van and take you to all of our remarkable neighborhoods. I love living in Miami and enjoy the cultural richness of our city - abundance of street sculpture, juicy Southern colors, Latin flavors, crazy murals everywhere, musical sounds of Little Havana. And I will make my best effort to make you love it as well. I am very interested in modern art, sculpture especially, and I will be able to show the best Miami and Miami Beach have to offer. Including some hidden gems. I hope I can make you excited about our amazing city with everything it has to offer the first time or repeat visitors. It was the best tour ever due to the excellent guide Alex Gord. He organized the tour very well and his level of knowledge about history of Miami, its historical development, architecture, art, etc was very extensive but not overwhelming.
Alex was an outstanding tour guide and driver for our family of six after our cruise. From the beginning, Alex was friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating to our family’s needs. He gave us a fantastic overview of Miami, including stops in South Beach, Little Havana, and the Wynwood Walls. He made time for Cuban coffee in Little Havana and even helped us navigate a few souvenir shops. His narration throughout the ride was engaging and informative. The van was clean, spacious, and comfortable for our group. Alex ensured we made it to the Miami airport with plenty of time for our flight. We highly recommend this half-day tour and especially commend Alex for making it a memorable experience!
Alexander was an amazing tour guide. He arrived on time and communicated well. His car was comfortable, clean and he drove very safely. He gave us a detailed and informative commentary on the various places we visited and showed us aspects of Miami that we weren't aware of including the amazing architecture, history and contemporary art features, as well as more familiar locations such as the Versace mansion and beachfront area. He was accomodating and helpful with dropping us back to two different locations at the end of the tour. I'm happy to highly recommend the Miami tour with Alexander.

Alex is an excellent guide. He is very knowledgeable about the history and architecture of both Miami and Miami Beach. During the tour we saw outside and inside of historic hotels, public and government buildings in Little Havana, Design District, Art District, etc. Alex was considerate of our time and also allowed us a short break to enjoy some Cuban coffee. He did an excellent job organizing the tour with several stops where we got out and walked around the site. I highly recommend Alex as a tour guide!
