Step-On Guide for your Kansas City Sightseeing Tour

Are you bringing a large group to Kansas City? Laura, owner of Cowtown Tours Kansas City, will "step on" your motor coach or bus to conduct an informative, fully guided tour of all the sites your group wants to see. As a local, Laura will bring the stories of the area's history to life! Tours can be a customized experience specific to your group's needs, and will feature plenty of history, memorable tales of old Kansas City, historical landmarks and local sights. This is a customizable tour. The number of participants is limited only by the size of your bus. There is not a maximum of 10-people, as stated on this webpage. We regularly accommodate up to 56-passengers. Likewise, we can offer a range of tour times. Some groups only have time for the basic, 2-hour route. Others are looking for a half-day, full-day, or multi-day experience. Cowtown Tours can do that for you!

The standard, 2-hr driving tour starts at the beginning of Kansas City's history, in the River Market, where you'll learn about our steamboat history, the connection between the French trappers and the People of the First Nations, and the Lewis & Clark Expedition of 1804. In downtown KCMO, we'll make a short stop inside Union Station, visit the Historic Jazz District to see where Count Basie and Ella Fitzgerald performed, and take a drive down to our bottoms to see the stockyards and rail yards. If your group has time for an extended version, we can customized by including additional neighborhoods, museums, lunch stops, galleries, parks, or shopping excursions. Prior to the tour, we'll agree on the specific route and locations to visit. The minimum time frame for step-on services is 2-hours, with a longer tour offered at $100 per hour.
