This beautiful city was nicknamed the Paris of the Plains in the early 1900s, because of its "sinful" nightlife. An article in the Omaha World-Herald began, "If you want to see some sin, forget about Paris and go to Kansas City. " The reporter and his photographer visited our red-light district, night clubs and gambling houses. Today, we prefer to promote our jazz, barbecue, world-class professional sports teams and friendly people. Many visitors are unaware that KC is known as the City of Fountains, boasting more fountains than Rome, until they see them for themselves. From the comfort of a hired vehicle (car, van, or 14-passenger van), we'll explore the history and culture of this city, and if we're lucky, we'll smell the barbecue from the open window!

I signed up with Laura for the Historical Highlights tour of Kansas City. I got to visit the Kansas City on both the Kansas and Missouri side. Both so unique in their own way. I got to understand a lot about the history of this great city with friendly people. Laura is definitely a perfect representative of the Kansas City hospitality. After the tour, she also introduced me to some museums and some restaurants that I can visit after the tour. Will certainly do another tour with Laura in the future.
