I’m Allan, and have had the pleasure of calling Juneau home since 2016. Although I grew up in California and Oklahoma as a kid, my parents instilled in me a deep love of travel. That passion has taken me to many states and a few homes, but settling in Juneau feels like the perfect fit, and it's where I live with my wife and daughter. My wife’s family actually has deep roots here — they’re a third-generation Juneau family. Last year, I decided to pursue guiding full time. Previously, I worked as a city ambassador and educator. See the DIPAC salmon hatchery, the Mendenhall Glacier from a lookout, Shrine of St Therese, and more! Wildlife include salmon, seals, eagles and more rarely, bears and humpbacks. Ride in a luxury Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid, with mid-row captain seats and an expansive moonroof for spotting soaring eagles. Take comfort in a heated seat (if temps are too cool), and charge your phone while relaxing in style. * If your group has six, I may take them, no extra charge. Look at the third row of my SUV in the above photo collection - I can take six if three can fit there. Just let me know if so. * Start: 9am and 2pm daily (flexible) Tour Highlight: DIPAC hatchery See up close Juneau's salmon species. On June 21 the salmon ladder - up which spawning adults must climb - is opened. While the ladder is closed prior to that, the hatchery's aquarium, touch pools and gift shop are open.

We had a few hours before heading to the airport, so we booked this tour. It was excellent!! The Salmon Hatchery was a incredible to see, and we loved seeing the other beautiful spots on this tour. Allen is very knowledgeable about the area and shared a lot of interesting information. Highly recommend!

Allen was fabulous! A true family man that has a deep love for Alaska! He took our family to the Salmon Hatchery, Whale Statue, Mendenhall Glacier distance viewing and photo op, the site of the old collapsed gold mine, and a drive thru the historic downtown. Although he’s only been giving tours for a year, he’s a true pro! We were in town on a port visit from the Royal Princess Cruise. Also he had snacks, waters, and great binoculars to share too.
