I’m Allan, and have had the pleasure of calling Juneau home since 2016. Although I grew up in California and Oklahoma as a kid, my parents instilled in me a deep love of travel. That passion has taken me to many states and a few homes, but settling in Juneau feels like the perfect fit, and it's where I live with my wife and daughter. My wife’s family actually has deep roots here — they’re a third-generation Juneau family. Last year, I decided to pursue guiding full time. Previously, I worked as a city ambassador and educator. On my scenic road tours, I love sharing the rich history and beauty of Juneau: from its indigenous roots and mining town origins to its role as Alaska’s capital and its incredible wildlife. Enjoy the intimacy of just your family and friends, up to 5 (maybe 6 - read further), on a private sightseeing tour of Juneau. See the Mendenhall Glacier from a lookout, Shrine of St Therese, Eagle Beach and more! Wildlife include seals and bald eagles, yet hopefully more (humpbacks and black bears on rare occasion). Ride in a luxury Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid, with mid-row captain seats and an expansive moonroof for spotting soaring eagles. Take comfort in a heated seat (if temps are too cool for your liking!), and charge your phone while relaxing in style. * Start times are 9am and 2pm daily, but flexible. * If your group has six, I may be able to take them (no extra charge), as I have six passenger seatbelts. Look at the photo of the third row of my SUV in the above collection - I can take six if three can fit comfortably.
Allan was personable, knowledgeable and just a fun guy to have as our tour guide. He took extra time with my husband who was in a wheelchair and made sure he could see all there was. We all came away with getting to know some about Juneau.
Excellent tour of Huneau and surrounding scenery. Allan is friendly, knowledgeable and has much insight into local history and culture. I recommend this tour. He also gave us good recommendations for local dining.
Our tour was amazing. We saw Bald Eagles up close, visited a beautiful beach called Eagle Beach State Recreation Area. Very comfortable nice drive to many other historical places. Our guide was knowledgeable and fun to be with.
There was five of us and we had a blast Very knowable and friendly and make the tour so much fun Also gave us a wonderful recommendation for dinner as well Would highly recommend this tour for all that come to Juneau
