The world's oldest known shipwreck exhibition rates a 'must see' on everyone's list. The Mausoleum of Halikarnassus was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The Amphitheater seating about 13. 000 spectators the theater dates to the region of Mausolus but with modifications added by the Romans. Out of all our favourite things to do in Turkey, shopping in Bodrum is near the top of our list. The diversity and choice of the town centre and smaller coastal resorts ensures we will find anything we want. Shops on the Bodrum peninsula, sell everything from cheap and tacky to expensive and sophisticated. The guide will create a suggested itinerary, but on the day itself there’s always room to adapt the program according to your personal preferences. The idea is to offer a mix of culture, nature, and a taste of traditional village life.
