Hi, I was born in Turkey but grew up in Norway because of my fathers job. Came back to Turkey as a teenager and finished my education here. I started working in tourism industry in 1990. Apart from guiding I worked in many different branches within the industry such as hotel rep, operation and contract manager, and destination manager for different travel agencies. One of the world's finest museums of underwater archeology housed in a 15th century castle built by the Knights of St. John. The world's oldest known shipwreck exhibition rates a 'must see' on everyone's list. The Mausoleum of Halikarnassus was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The Amphitheater seating about 13. 000 spectators the theater dates to the region of Mausolus but with modifications added by the Romans. Out of all our favourite things to do in Turkey, shopping in Bodrum is near the top of our list. The diversity and choice of the town centre and smaller coastal resorts ensures we will find anything we want. Shops on the Bodrum peninsula, sell everything from cheap and tacky to expensive and sophisticated. Browse through small individual boutiques, head to brand name stores, or buy from the simple one-man trader on the weekly market. We know where to go for the bargains if we are strapped for cash, but likewise, have our favourite shops for overindulging.
Our tour of Bodrum with Gunay was one of the highlights of our trip to Turkey. She was warm, funny, and so knowledgable! Gunay is a wonderful guide who has a warm, genuine personality and a relaxed, friendly style. She is extremely knowledgeable about all the things we wanted to know about Bodrum but spending a few hours with her was like being toured around by an old friend. Gumay is awesome! She is so knowledgeable; communicates perfectly and is very funny. In addition to all the facts about the sites, she talks about Turkish history, plus Turkish and global politics. Very much enjoyed our time together and am happy to HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Wonderful, amazing, great personality, our tour guide Gunay was amazing! She delivered a very enjoyable tour of Bodram and the surrounding area. She was flexible and extremely personable while showing us around. The wind mill views, coastal views, historic areas with the history explained very well. The shopping around the bazaar was great with her guidance on which shops to visit. She also took us into a local village to see an olive press operation and rug weaving explanation/demonstration. It was amazing. If you visit Bodram, highly recommend you tour with Gunay, it will be a wonderful experience! She is absolutely amazing!

THE ITINERARY IS FLEXIBLE SO YOU CAN CONTACT ME TO MAKE THE NEEDED ADJUSTMENTS -First we will start by visiting Bodrum Castle and Museum -Then we will take a ride to the windmills for its best view. -Then we go further to the Ancient theatre -And at last the Mausoleum. -Gold centre visit -Leather Shop Lunch can be done in one of the tasty local restaurants. On request, we can add the village life tour which takes about 2 and a half hours. The itinerary is flexible, for any changes please let me know.
