Life is a journey but unless you've visited Thailand. . . it's not complete. Hello and Sawadee, my name is Tommy and I've been a Thai tour guide for over a decade now. Probably I will be a guide for a decade more because my job is my passion in life! Previous to my life as a Thai guide I was a marketing manager for a life insurance company in Thailand. But I didn't stick with that and became a Thai guide and I haven't looked back since. What I love most about my job is that I get a chance to meet people from all over the world and make friends with them. Second is that I get a chance to share my love for Thai food. So as you will see in my tours page, I have a special private food tour for Thai food lovers as well. But of course next to the food I know my way around all the historical sites in Bangkok and Thailand of which I am very proud to share. I also know many hidden secret markets, shrines, backstreets and undiscovered cultural places in the city. It always excites me a lot when I discover a new hidden gem in the city or at the countryside. During my time as a freelance guide for a high-end travel company in South East Asia, I have been their event planner for special occasions. This specialized company send me out frequently with managers from overseas travel companies on inspection trips and to set out new itineraries for these travel companies. The company awarded me with an Excellent Guide Award for the year 2013. In the last few years I have been to the United States, Europe and of course many Asian countries. I hope my travels will bring me to many new destinations in the future. I am looking forward to spend one or more amazing days with you as my guests in Bangkok. On this private half day Thai food tour in Bangkok I will take you to many different food stalls in the city by local transport. All the food will be safe to eat and even more, super delicious! I will meet you at your hotel and together we'll embark on a journey to all the best places for Thai food. For example we can go for Thai style fried noodles, some curries, sticky rice with mango, sweet pork, amazing Thai desserts, coconut icecream and much more. Once I know your preferred taste I will decide during the day where to go and what to eat. Don't worry about the fact that the program is not set out clearly. I really know many many amazing places for food so you can be assured that your food will be super yummie! If you book this tour at night we'll end the tour at one of the rooftop bars in town for a drink and awesome views.
Tommy took us to some great spots for some amazing food and showed us some cool places in the city. At one restaurant he knew the family running the place and took us back to where they were preparing and cooking the food. Wonderful crispy noodles with chicken!

Tommy took us to all the best local food stops, making sure we tried the best of the best (all of which we never would have found on our own). Beyond ensuring our tummies were full of delicious local delicacies, he somehow managed to show us the flower market, take a ride on a local bus, multiple tuk tuks, and so many other beautiful hidden parts of Bangkok. Tommy's tour was great. Our group of six really enjoyed the food and the tour. He took us around much more of the city than we were expecting with very informative commentary and walked us through neighborhoods that were not the usual tourist sites. We had "The Best Pad Thai" in Bangkok at a local's place and then on to another site for a feast of Thai dishes. Finished with coconut ice cream. Please come hungry for this tour.
Sample itinerary and times: 10. 00 am. Meet you at your hotel and embark on our trip by skytrain or taxi. 10. 30 am. Arrive at the first place for food and a local market with old shophouses and family run restaurants. Taste and eat delicous desserts, sweet pork or other surprises. 11. 00 am. Walk along the local ways to the next surprise food stop. Taste and eat fruits like mango, rambutan, lychee all depending on the season. 11. 30 am. Get on a tuk tuk (threewheeler) and go for a coconut icecream sandwich. 12. 00 am. Relax at a local restaurant for some fried Pathai/ Thai noodles and some Thai herb or flower drinks. 13. 00 pm. Try to get up and walk a bit to get some exercise after all the food. 13. 30 pm. Taste some Thai curries or Chinese style food. 14. 00 pm. Go back to your hotel by any way of transport that is available. 14. 30 pm. Arrive at your hotel. This is of course a suggested time frame and tours will approx. take around 4 hours. So if you want to start at 5 pm. we'll be back at around 9 pm.
