Hello fun loving traveler, welcome to Thailand! The land of golden stupa's, amazing food and the best holiday you can imagine. My name is Vanna and for the last 20 years I have been walking and talking around Thailand with travelers like yourself. I've been all over Thailand with couples, families, tourgroups and schooltrips. I can say that I know my country and culture inside out and love to share many fun and amazing anekdotes with you. Before I changed my life and became a Thai tour guide I mainly worked for commercial companies. For almost 10 years I was the secretary of the General Manager for Maersk shipping company at the sales and marketing department. What I learned at Maersk was how to work and communicate with people from all over the world and because each culture has it's own traits, it was a great 'school of life' for me. After this I became supervisor for the famous Chao Praya Express boat company which runs public transportation along the main river of Bangkok. I got to know the company behind this mass transportation company and all the best spots at each pier. So I love to take my guests around Bangkok while using the express boat and tell them all the ins and outs of each spot and how it all works to get around Bangkok city. I love to play sports like tennis and in my free time explore some of the new restaurants, visit local markets for newly designed items and just talk with my friends and have a good time. If you have a special trip in mind or if you need suggestions for a great time in Thailand, just let me know and we can set up a great experience together. All my tours and trips are fully customizeable to your wishes and the time you have. I hope to see you and your friends in Bangkok soon. Maybe you wonder why Thailand has markets everywhere you look? And how come we can open up a streetfood business without any permission? Is it all that simple or is there more to it then the eye. . . ? At the train market you will see the sellers gather all their produce every time a train comes along. And once it has passed, it only takes 5 second before everything returns back to normal again and fresh fish, vegetables, fruits and live crabs can be sold at amazing prices. From here it's just a short drive before we get on a local boat that will ride us along the Thai countryside. You will pass by houses on stills, orchards and local temples where Buddhist monks gather their alms. Sometimes even by peddle boat. The floating market bursts from life and sellers of noodlesoup, fried bananas and tropical fruits are everywhere. For lunch we will go to Don Wai food market. This is the best place for local snacks, great Thai food and the relaxed atmosphere will make you feel really welcome to my country.
- Early morning meet at your hotel inside Bangkok city. - Drive to the train market in about 1, 5 hours time and see the train pass by (if timeschedule of the train is ok). - Take a local boat along the countryside and the floating market. - Stroll along the floating market for food, souvenirs and great pictures. - Drive to Don wai food market for lunch. - Return back to your hotel in the early afternoon. The itinerary is flexible and I love to make some extra surprise stops during the day.
