In retrospect, we might have started earlier than 8:30. The ship terminal is far from Bangkok and the ratio of driving (4.5 hours) to touring (4 hours) was poor. Kay is a good guide: knowledgeable, understandable, communicative during and before we met. All logistics were good. Some flexibility on tour stops (dropped yet another temple and instead visited the flower/veg market. Driver was good both as to safety and making the best of it in heavy traffic. We are on a ship cruise but opted for a TBL guide
Your Bangkok tour itinerary
8. 30 am. Pick up and transport by our driver to meet me at one point near the Palace in the city upon arrival, then begin to escort you into the Grand Palace & Wat Phra Kaew, following on a ferry across the river for strolling through Wang Lang Market the most popular eating place and shopping for local, at the other end of the market our driver will take us to visit Wat Arun one of the most spectacular temples of Bangkok. Afterward, relax and enjoy riding on a long-tailed boat to see the way of life along the canals. After the tour, our driver will transport you back to Laem Chabang Port.
