Bangkok Half Day Private Tour

Despite a guide change owing to an illness in our original guide's family, our substitute guide that he provided for us was fabulous. Ling ( Songsri J.) met us at our hotel and took us on a fairlyland tour through some fantastic sights in Bangkok. We took the public ferry up the Chao Phraya river to the Royal Palace where we visited "Yul Brynner's - (sic)" home. Unbelievably beautiful! Was I upset that no one was singing "shall we dance" as we walked by? We spent a couple of hours at the palace area with its Buddhas -emerald and otherwise and then boarded a "longboat" for a tour of the klongs (canals) which took us through the old residential areas of Bangkok. The difference in the homes right next door to each other is unreal. Wealthy and beautiful and dilapidated and falling apart homes side by side. Then the Reclining Buddha, and finally after lunch at a local store it was off to the flower market. It is a huge market which sells pretty much anything that is not made of metal. Finally back to the Chao Phraya for our boat ride back to the hotel. All the while, Ling was explaining everything in a very understandable way. We laughed a lot and learned a lot. We were sorry to say good bye to her.

My husband and I had the most wonderful three days possible in Bangkok (December 2025). Pum is the perfect tour guide...always cheerful and smiling, always on time (and patient when we were late), she has a great driver along with an amazingly large and ultra-comfortable van (seats are like that on a first class flight). Pum is thoroughly knoweledgeable about the sites she choose for us to see. She turned us on to Thai fruits, snacks, and fabulous lunches. She even set up a boat rental last minute for us at Fisherman's Village to view...and feed macaques (monkeys!!). Pum is a special young lady and you will no doubt have an exceptional time in Bangkok with her as your guide!

Poom was pure perfection. We still talk about how much fun we had with Poom!

Poom was a fantastic guide and we enjoyed every minute of our two day tour!! She was very knowledgeable, experienced and accommodating. We were able to do so much in a short amount t of time. We ended the tour with a traditional Thai meal and her recommended dishes were spot on. I highly recommend her services!!

Poom was very attentive to our needs and was happy to customize the tour to fit our interests and schedule. She especially helped us understand Buddism and the Thai culture.
