My name is Cristo, I am a native of the North of Tenerife Island. Since 2012 I have been a tour guide & mountain guide, helping Tenerife visitors to observe and enjoy the island. I like to make tourists feel like they are at home, since for me, they are like my family for a day. I work every day to make your experience unique. From the very start, I noticed that large companies tend to see tourists as just a number, so I became a freelance guide to be able to offer my own more personal experiences. I lived for several years outside of Tenerife, in Madrid and in England. I have also traveled a lot to different parts of the world such as Europe, Asia, and Africa, savoring their cuisine and enjoying their culture. Mine is a farming family on the island, with a great tradition in crops such as bananas and wine. I have a great passion for Tenerife's culture, traditions and gastronomy having grown up in its mountains. Since I was little I always went out to the mountains to walk with my grandparents and they have instilled in me a passion for my island, its nature, and the Canarian culture. During my student period, I worked with my mother and grandfather on agriculture, in banana, wine, and potato plantations, so I am a great expert on both the plants and the volcanic geology of our island. My favorite tours are the experiences within the local culture, the Canarian pine forests, or our great Teide volcano, combining that with our famous gastronomy to make for a perfect day. Tourism Degree Master's Degree in Interpretation of the island's Natural and Cultural Heritage. Certified tourist and Mountain Guide. Pablo conducted our Teide National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.: Uncover the Majesty: Exploring Spain's Highest Peak, the Remarkable Teide Volcano tour and it was amazing. Got to see all sides of the volcano up close as well as many other stops/hiking opportunities. This was absolutely beautiful. Pablo was very professional and only cared about pleasing us, had a very comfortable van outfitted with anything we would need, and was a pleasure to get to know. Cristo was an exceptional guide, ensuring a memorable experience in Tenerife. He expertly timed our arrival at Teide National Park, allowing us to enjoy a secluded lookout with Mount Teide and its clouds. His knowledge of the area allowed us to immerse ourselves in the powerful images, sounds of wildlife, and reflect on the magnificent sight of the volcano. Cristo navigated our requests, finding a quaint coffee shop in the caldera for conversation, espresso, and a pastry. He then took us to explore the Mars-like landscape, sharing interesting facts along the way. ·After picking you up from an arranged point, we will go up to the Teide National Park. ·On our way there, we will cross an incredible road in the middle of a pine forest, and in between stops, we will be able to enjoy incredible views at different viewpoints from where we'll admire the beauty of the different valleys that make up our island. ·Upon entering the national park, the landscape changes completely, so we will arrive at a more volcanic area with a few plants and more amazing landscapes, full of volcanoes and lava flows of different colors. ·Afterwards, we can visit other points of the National Park and have a drink or rest with a coffee on our table, before returning to your pick-up point again.
