¡Hola! My passion is travelling and nature and contact with people all over the world. Originally I am German but my studies in tourism helped me to work in Spain and I felt in love with Tenerife and arrived in 1999 on this beautiful island. My favourite tours are walking and hiking tours in the different Natural Parks of Tenerife and to the top of Teide. I would be pleased to show you the green corners of this mini continent, nature, flora & fauna off the beaten paths. If you are interested in the local history and culture I can show you the historic places on a walking tour. We will also have time to try the Canarian cuisine as well with a nice glass of wine. My aim is to support small local businesses and people I know for over 20 years. Leaving the bus or car behind and especially hiking you get to know the hidden secrets of this fantastic island. Impressive hike from Santiago del Teide to Masca in 6 hours!
Overview of your Santa Cruz De Tenerife tour
"Who has not been to Masca has nothing seen!" This is an old Tinerfenian saying, so let's go. The panoramic and very promising hike starts in Santiago del Teide at the Erjos pass at a level of 900m. You start on a comfortable forest track up to aprox. 1. 145m to the first summit the Gala, the highest point of this hiking tour. From this "mirador" you have stunning views over the complete Teno mountains and La Gomera, maybe under perfect conditions also to La Palma. The trail continues on the ridge, passing old fincas and farm houses through the typical green laurisilva (rainforest) vegetation of the west. A few minutes later you will get to see for the first time our destination, the famous village of Masca. The trail leeds us along the weather boarder between north and south and is one of the highlights in the Teno mountains. Step by step you hike downstairs on old goat trails to the wonderful view point „Mirador Cruz de Hilda" and at the end you will reach Tenerife's most beautiful mountain village Masca.
