Greetings from Singapore! Singapore is a city state in South East Asia, a modern metropolis with dazzling skyscrapers, with Instagram-worthy attractions, a congregation of different cultures made up of Chinese, Malay, Indian and various other ethnicities, and a foodie's paradise! Born and bred in Singapore, I started my guiding career 16 years ago and handle mainly specialised and private tours. My experience ranges from incentives, foreign university groups, VIPs, celebrities, and family groups, Singapore Tourism Board (STB) foreign media groups and travel trade guests from all over the world. As a curator of award winning tour experiences and a finalist of the Best Customer Service (Tourist Guiding) in the 2017 Singapore Tourism Awards, I am more than happy to share everything and anything you want to know about Singapore! All my tours can be customised, so do drop me a note. Thank you and look forward to welcoming you to my homeland! - Singapore Tourism Board (STB) Licensed Tour Guide - Finalist of Singapore Tourism Awards 2017 Best Customer Service (Tourist Guiding) - Recipient of Skills Future Study Awards 2017 I am not a driver. Singapore is a city state in South East Asia, and with the different cultures and ethnicities, we are a foodie's paradise with Michelin-star local fare! Bring your empty tummies and be a true Singapore foodie for the day! Taste the varied local cuisines we have in Singapore - ranging from local Chinese, Malay, and Indian. Hop through various hawker centres and local snack shops, and find out why Singapore is known as the food capital of the world! Option to end the tour with tasting the national dish of Singapore - Chicken Rice, a simple and inexpensive dish which you wish you can replicate at home! I can customise this tour according to your requirements. Do advise if you have any dietary restrictions.
I will pick you up from your hotel or the agreed location in the city. - visit Chinatown Complex, which houses a "wet" market, selling raw vegetables, meat, and the freshest seafood you can find! We brave the "hawker centre" next for chicken satay, popiah - a local spring roll, carrot cake (our version is not a dessert!) and fried prawn noodles! - Little India, we visit another "hawker centre" and go flip over roti prata, an Indian "pancake" made fresh in front of your eyes and serve with curry, and end off with a freshly fried prawn fritter - Indian style! - Kampong Glam - try "teh tarik" (pulled tea) and watch how they "pull" the tea and the reason behind it! The tour ends with lunch at a Chicken Rice shop (if you can still eat!) , or we can drive you back to your hotel or drop off at a location or attraction in the city. Note the amount and types of food you can try depends on how much you can eat!
