Kathmandu Valley Full Day Private Tour

The monkey temple provides a feel for Buddhism, including how it sits side-by-side with Hinduism. Pattan is interesting, with a small medieval center and an informative (if repetitive) museum on Buddhist/Hindu art. The highlight was the Hindu temple area. The most fascinating sight here is the funeral ritual, with wrapped bodies being purified with river water and then cremated on a pyre, after which the ashes are swept into the river. Last is the largest chorten in the area, which is buge but identical to all other chorten other than its size. Little time needs to be spent here. Our guide was friendly and his English was adequate. He did not offer much information independently, so one did need to ask questions. A suggestion would be to offer more context and information about the sites and not to let guests wander on their own, which we could just have done without a guide.

Sujan escorted is on a tour of the four UNESCO sites in Kathmandu. He is very knowledgeable and has a wonderful personality. He went out of his way to accommodate my mom. No request was too much. I can heartily recommend him for anyone seeking a tour of Kathmandu or anywhere else in Nepal.

We had a great day tour with Sujan. Pickup at the airport was prompt and his vehicle was clean and easy to get in and out of quickly, which helps given some of the tight traffic in Kathmandu. He was very happy to modify the tour to our liking, even in the middle of the tour. Sujan is extremely knowledgable and proud of his country. He will definitely be our first call on any return trips to Nepal!

Sujan gave us tours of Temples around Katmandu. He told some beautiful stories of the people and the religion and the history. We think the most moving was our tour of Pasupatinah Temple. We also loved our visit to the Tibetan Art School and learning about the Thangka Painting.

had a great time touring Katmandu. Having a tour guide and a driver with vehicle provided a real nice way to tour the city. Saw a lot of neat things in the city with sites and culture.

Wow! What a fantastic day with Sujan. He arrived at our hotel as scheduled, had reliable and comfortable transportation, and took us to see some amazing sites in the Kathmandu area. Great communication ahead of time, super open to input, and flexible with plans. Very personable and knowledgeable. We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our day with Sujan.
