Hiking Tour to Champa Devi from Kathmandu (full day)

Champa Devi, located in the south of Kathmandu city, is another great option for hiking just on the opposite to Shivapuri hill. The hike begins from Dolu after a drive of about an hour. The most of walks are along the ridge that offers spectacular mountains views with the bird's eye views of Kathmandu valley in front. Though the hike does not go as high as in Shivapuri the raptors can be seen soaring below the trails. The top of the hill is enshrined with a sacred place where locals perform the ritual on the auspicious days. The last part of the trail is steep downhill to the village of Champa Devi, though the forest of rich bird life. Once arrived in the valley floor, you will be driving back to Kathmandu through the historic town of Kirtipur and university area.

7. 00 am: Meet and pick up from your hotel in Kathmandu. 7. 30 - 8. 15 am: Arrive the hike start point and begin the hike. 8:15 -11. 30 am: Reach the summit (2240m), rest, have pack lunch. 12-2 pm: Hike down to the pickup point drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. The expected time of return to your hotel would be 3-4 pm. The duration entirely depends on how often you make the scenic stops and may vary. The best place to meet would be by the hotel/guest house you are staying and any other places, provided that is inside the ring road, not outside or far from the town area.
