I Love NATURE! I am a keen birder. I love to share my knowledge and experience of birds and Nepal wildlife that I know. I have led many bird/ornithological tours and treks in Nepal, my great passion, that I love to work. I have been doing this for well over 2 decades. Nature is amazing! The best birding place in Kathmandu valley!
Overview of your Kathmandu tour
For this enchanting tour, you will take a short drive (45-50 minute) to Godawari bus park, at the base of the Phulchauki mountain (2760 m), to the south of Kathmandu. This is the best birding destination close to Kathmandu. On a good day of birding, one could easily record from 60 to 100 species of birds. Some beautiful birds are Green Magpie, Striated and White-crested Laughingthrush, Golden-spectacled Warbler, Mountain Bulbul, White-collared Blackbird, Long-tailed and Scarlet Minivet, Rufous and Small Niltava, Crested Serpent Eagle, Black Eagle, Mountain Hawk Eagle, Golden-throated Barbet, Grey-hooded Warblers, Mountain Bulbul, Black-eared Shrike-Babbler with other species, which make our day very enjoyable. I enjoy watching Mountain hawk Eagle, Chestnut-headed Tesia, Chestnut-eared Shrike Babble, Rufous Niltava, Crested Serpent Eagle, Long-tailed Broadbill etc. And my favorite bird that I love to see here are Hoary-throated Barwing, Red-headed Trogon and Himalayan Cutia etc.

7. 00 am: Meet at your hotel lobby or set location and drive to Godawari. 7. 50 am: Arrive at the starting point and start birding. 8. 00am - 1 pm or so: Birding walk around. 1. 00 -2. 00 pm: Tour ends and travel back and transfer to your hotel.
