Jewish and muslim confluences tour.

This tour combines some iconic sites of marrakech and includes a stop at the 12 century koutoubiya mosque, laazama synagogue of the late 15 century together with the mellah(jewish quarter) souks and Artisans and end in a spectacular museum, dar el bacha or museum of confluences. There will be a stop to enjoy some ancestral dishes.

-we will meet in front of the koutoubiya mosque nearby a white dome and learn about the history and architecture of the minaret and mosque . -We will walk to the jewish quarter (mellah) and you will get informed about the date and the reason of the construction of this quarter during the spanish inquisition…we will reach Laazama synagogue built in 1492 after the fall of Granada. It is still active and accommodates a small museum inside. -We can walk or take a tuk tuk to reach the Souks and Artisans destrict (mainly admiring black-smith iron-smith and bronze and brass items artistically designed, plaster artisan and leather artisans and a pause at a family herbalist where you can learn about the secrets of cooking and healing and also cosmetic moroccan oil (argan and prickly pear. ) we will end at Dar el bacha museum of Comfluences. This museum exhibits jewish and muslim items from different periods of time as well as some ceramics. the pause for lunch can be within the tour or at the end.
