I've been living in Veracruz for 35 years and I love it! Veracruz is known as the main entrance of the mexican culture and its History. Veracruz is also rich in nature, is one of the states of México that has a lot of types of ecosystems, and I would like to have the opportunity to share my love of Veracruz and its heritages with you because knowing is loving, and maybe if you let me be your guide you will love Veracruz and you will want to come back. I've worked as a tour guide for 15 years, not only in the city of Veracruz, also in its sorroundings. All my tours can be customized depending of your needs and expectations. Tourist Guide Certified by Mexican Goverment, training as Gay Friendly Tourist Guide, also I have done a lot of courses of History of México and Veracruz, and I studied Tourism at the University. I am not a driver. I can arrange for a separate car and driver when the tour doesn't includes tranportation. I am not an adventure guide, so in the adventure tours, I will be with you and another certified person will be guiding you.

We will visit San Juan de Ulúa, one of the most important fortress in America, and the only one in Mexico made with coral stone. It was built to protect the city from pirates and foreign enemies. It was also werehouse, prison and presidential house twice. In downtown where you will visit the most important highligths in Veracruz, like the lighthouse "Venustiano Carranza", the Main Square, the Malecon, and the buildings of the New Port, Santiago's Bulwark and Navy Museum
Marcela gave us a very interesting tour of Veracruz and the fort of San Juan. We had special requests for our tour and she customized the tour to meet our needs. We came away very satisfied with the time we spent with Marcela as our guide visiting beautiful Veracruz.
This was an amazing tour and Marcela was the BEST. She was flexible when we wanted to see things off the original tour; she arranged special side trips and took us to several great places we would not have found on our own. She was so knowledgeable about history, culture and traditions—but she also shared many funny, unusual and fascinating stories and legends about Veracruz. We will met at your hotel or airbnb in downtown, if you are not staying in downtown we will start the tour in next to municipal palace of Veracruz, and we will walk through the city visiting the main highlights and then we will try to abord the boat that take us to San Juan de Ulúa fortress. If weather doesn't allow us to take the boat we will take a taxi. Then we will back to downtown visiting Malecón and Republic Mainsquare, and finally we will visit the Navy Museum, where we will see a replica of the China´s Nao and learn about the different invasions that México has suffered thorught time. Then we will finish the tour at your hotel or restaurant of your preferance in downtown.

If weather allows it we will take a boat called Goleta Iguala or a taxi, just to transport us to San Juan de Ulua and back
