Sumidero Canyon is one of Mexico’s most breathtaking natural wonders. Its cliffs rise up to 1,000 meters (3,300 feet), and its rich wildlife includes cormorants, herons, vultures, giant iguanas, caimans, and spider monkeys. On this tour, you’ll enjoy a spectacular boat ride through the canyon’s deepest section, stopping at remarkable sights such as the Sea Horse Cave, the Cave of Colors, and the Limestone Christmas Tree. Afterwards, you’ll head to several scenic viewpoints perched atop the western rim, offering unforgettable panoramas of the canyon.

Alex was our tour guide for two tours: Sumidero Canyon on April 18 and the Mysteries of Palenque tour on April 22. The tour and Alex were perfect. Alex was knowledgeable, punctual and very helpful. Alex was great at having the perfect balance of providing information without being overwhelmingly chatty. I'm not a big fan of tours as I prefer to do it solo and thought best option would be to go with a private tour for the Canyon as I waned to checkout the view points too. Alex is exceptional! So well travelled and knowledgeable. He arrived on time and the entire day was like hanging out with a friend. It was such a wonderful day.. very detailed and just brilliant all around. I'd totally recommend him .. absolute legend! He also has exceptional taste in music which is a great bonus!
