Nagasaki is an international port town uniquely surrounded by a beautiful nature, mountains and a sea, geographically located at the far west end of Japanese Archipelago and closest to Europe through China. It was once the sole international trading port in Japan. In the 16th century, Catholic was propagated to Nagasaki and part of the city was donated to Roman Jesuit, however due to the political and religious struggle, Christianity was totally banned and Nagasaki turned into the place of persecution. However, Japanese Christians had secretly maintained their faith over two centuries. The religious site of these hidden Christians were designated as World Heritage sites in 2018 and Pope Francis visited Nagasaki in 2019 to give a Mass. During the tour, you will see the spectacular scenery of the city and also learn where all the Christian Heritage Sites are located. I will take you to the various heritage sites which make Nagasaki unparalleled.

Inasayama to see the 360° panoramic view of the city -Take a taxi to Urakami Cathedral, a brief stop at The Peace Statue on the way -Take a taxi to 26 Martyrs Hill, sacred ground -Walk to Nakamachi church to see the statues of 15 Saints -Public transport and walk up the hill to St. Kolbe's Lourdes (Optional) -Public transport to Oura church, Site of discovery of the hidden Christians -Walk to Glover Garden if time allows (Optional) -Walk back to Nagasaki International Cruise Ship Terminal (about 10 minutes walk) or to your hotel The tour can be customized according to your expectation" to the itinerary.
