Since all of my relatives are also from Nagasaki, I truly consider myself a lifelong local. Yuko is everything you want in a tour guide: she spoke perfect English and was very friendly, personable, and flexible. She was very informative and knowledgeable about her city and, all in all, a very down to earth and pleasant person to spend the day with. We very much enjoyed being with her and highly recommend her for anyone wanting to explore Nagasaki. Let me add that it rained all day without stop — and we still enjoyed our day with Yuko!

We loved our Nagasaki tour with Yuko! Yuko was born and raised in Nagasaki and her grandparents were survivors of the atomic bomb. She knows the city like the back of her hand and was able to share personal stories about growing up in the area, how the area has changed over time and knows all the yummy food spots! Yuko helped us navigate the public transportation system in Nagasaki, we took a tram to the highest point in Nagasaki, we saw a couple different shrines and temples that had unique history, walked along the river where a series of stone bridges from the 1600s are still widely used, wondered through an open air shopping area, had ramen for lunch and Yuko introduced us to red bean and mochi deserts. She is very personable, was prepared, professional and made sure that we were happy with the plan for the day. Highly recommend Yuko!

Our tour with Yuko was perfect! She is a multigenerational Nagasaki resident. She created an itinerary exactly what we asked for. She even set up a private sushi making experience for us that was one of the highlights of our trip. After a day with Yuko I felt like we really understood the culture and uniqueness of Nagasaki. I can’t recommend her highly enough.
