Hi, I’m Yuko, a true local born and raised in Nagasaki. My entire family, including my relatives, has deep roots in this city, and I’m proud to call it my lifelong home. As someone who grew up surrounded by Nagasaki’s rich history and culture, I’m passionate about sharing it with visitors from around the world. One part of that history is especially meaningful to me — my grandmothers were hibakusha, a survivor of the atomic bombing. Because of this personal connection, I feel a strong sense of responsibility to help others understand the tragedy of the bombing and the importance of peace. As a local guide, I aim to share not only historical facts, but also the deeper emotional truths that continue to shape Nagasaki today. I look forward to welcoming you and guiding you through this unique and resilient city.

Yuko did a wonderful tour. She convinced with her deep understanding and knowledge of Nagasaki and it’s history. She is a True Local. Her family roots are in Nagasaki and with that she brings in the experience that also her family went through during the Second the World War. We had the best tour with Yuko at our cruise stop in Nagasaki!! Her English is perfect. She is so kind and so knowledgeable about all things Nagasaki!! We loved our day with her.
