Hello, my name is Masaaki and I have lived in Nagasaki for more than 60 years. When I was 16 years old, I studied at a high school in the USA as an exchange student for one year. More than 2, 000 students from all over the world were studying under the same program and it was a great experience for me to learn about the different cultures of the world through talking with them. I still like to travel and make trips several times a year, domestic and overseas, whenever I am free. During my career, I welcomed numbers of important business clients and colleagues from overseas and it was my duty to show them the history, culture and beauty of port town Nagasaki, surrounded by beautiful nature. It was a great joy for me, just as guiding good old friends from the distant who took trouble to visit Nagasaki to see me! Port town of Nagasaki has a very unique landscape, the port being surrounded by mountains. If you climb up one of the mountains, you can enjoy the spectacular view of the port where your cruise ship is docked. Nagasaki is located at the west end of Japan and closest to Asian Continent (and to Europe also) and this again brought a very unique feature to Nagasaki's history as once "sole international trading port in Japan" during the national seclusion period, which we will discover during the tour. Starting from the mountain, the tour will take you to Nagasaki Peace Park area, cultural heritage area (Glover's Garden, Dejima and etc) which can be seen only in Nagasaki. There are many other places to see, such as various Christian heritage sites. I am ready to customize your tours according to your expectations. Nationally Certified Guide-Interpreter (English,CertNo.EN00069) I am not a professional driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Nagasaki is an international port town uniquely surrounded by a beautiful nature, mountains and a sea, geographically located at the far west end of Japanese Archipelago and closest to Europe through China. It was once the sole international trading port in Japan. In the 16th century, Catholic was propagated to Nagasaki, however due to the political and religious struggle, Nagasaki turned into the place of persecution, now the Catholic sacred place. In the course of Japan's industrialization, Nagasaki played an important role in building military armaments and consequently became the target of the Atomic Bomb. Now Nagasaki has been totally recovered to be a tourist city welcoming more than forty cruise ships every year. During the tour, you will enjoy the spectacular scenery of the city and the view of your cruise ship from 333 meters high observatory. I will also take you to the various heritage sites which make Nagasaki unparalleled.

Our tour guide, Mr. Masaaki, is a wonderful, lovely person with a big professionality doing his work as a guide. We saw all the important places and spots because of his great organisation. We loved very much his understanding, humour and helpful behavour. We would recommend Mr. Masaaki to all people they would like to see the most of Nagasaki during the time they have. Thank you Mr. Masaaki Maria and Önder from Switzerland
Masaaki is a great guide. We learned so much about Nagasaki. We went to Mt Inasa, the Atomic Bomb museum, I was trying to find the AirPod three Pro and he took me to three different stores to try and find it, he showed us the old style Japanese restaurant. We also went to the martyrdom of 26 Saints of Japan, we had Sasebo burgers for lunch and the Urakami Cathedral. He is extremely proud of his city.
Maasaki yes very professional and a very nice gentleman. We had a great time and saw very interesting things, and he had a lot of great information to share.
Masaaki Kinoshita was our guide for a packed day of touring Nagasaki. He was engaging, informative, and unflagging as we made stop after stop, one more illuminating than the next about Nagasaki's (and Japan's) history. We thoroughly enjoyed the day.
Thanks for much for our well-informed and well-designed tour. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend you to others visiting Nagasaki. Thanks, again, for making our experience so memorable.
