One-Day Hakone Highlights Tour

What an incredible experience being able to see the Hakone hotspots by land and sea, such an incredible place. Aki-san was such a great guide blending historical details with a fun tour that kept our entire group, including kids, entertained throughout the day. Wouldn’t hesitate to do this again!

I booked a private tour of Hakone with Akio to see the highlights before checking into my ryokan for the night. We had good communication before the tour to set up meeting places and drop offs, and we easily found each other at the Shinkansen exit. He helped me sort out my Hakone Free Pass and throughout the day showed me when and where to use it. Mt Fuji was hidden behind clouds, but everything else about the day was perfect. We walked some of the Old Tokaido road to check out the cedars and then did the pirate ship, ropeways and cable car. Just before wrapping up, we hiked up (very up!) to Chinsugi Falls. This tour made my Hakone day easy and fun!

Hit all the Hakone highlights stress-free with Akio guiding you. Aki met us at the hotel and took us around in a loop that ended back at our hotel. We took the cable car up and over the mountain to see the volcanic activity from high above! We took the pirate ship across lake Ashi and got a local woodcraft demonstration before walking the old Tokaido road and taking a bus back to our hotel. We stopped for lunch at a great little soba/udon/tempura restaurant that had a broth I will be thinking about for a long time!

My family of four truly enjoyed our Hakone tour with Akio . He is super knowledgeable , pleasant , and organized , professional and efficient witb our time. He made sure we saw everything given it was a day trip from Tokyo . He also speaks great English and accurately communicated what to expect on trip . Arigato Gozaimasu Akio !

Akio was a wonderful guide. He navigated us through many complicated modes of transportation seamlessly. We did not get to see Mt Fuji because of the weather but we really enjoyed the tour of the many sights the Hakone area offers. Akio also answered many of our general questions about Japan in a thoughtful and detailed manner. Loved this tour!
