Konnichiwa and greetings from the land of the Rising Sun!! My name is Mitsuru and I do guided tours in pretty regions of Japan, especially around Fuji - Hakone - Izu National Park + Nagano state + Hokkaido - please see my multiple days HOKKAIDO tour! Since the pandemic, I moved to Kanagawa, next to Tokyo, but I still do tours there. Especially for those who will take my tours out of the capital. My most popular tours are road trips, so travelers can enjoy special places, not covered by conventional tours or by public transportation. I would like to encourage you to support smaller Japanese destinations outside of the big cities (out of Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka)! As a travel enthusiast, I ended up in the tourism world and I love guiding people. I lived in QLD, Australia when I was young and have been to different places inside and outside of Japan and sometimes I meet my clients in their hometowns overseas! :) PLEASE MESSAGE ME BEFORE BOOKING ANY TOUR, as I might be in talks with others travelers for the same desired date. Japan is a long country with 47 states with different climates from Hokkaido (my favorite) in the north to subtropical Okinawa (my ancestors land) near Taiwan. I have also visited different Japanese regions with a motor home during the pandemic. I love the charming of the secondary roads / backstreets. Every region in Japan is unique and they differ a lot according to seasons. My favorites are: 1. AUTUMN (Oct-Dec); 2. SPRING (Mar-May); 3. WINTER (Dec-Feb) is the best to fully view Mt. Fuji and lastly 4. SUMMER (Jun-Aug) is the toughest due to high temperatures and humidity, Hokkaido is an exception though. Travels can change people.. I believe in a new tourism based on E's": Educational, Entertaining with respect to the Environment. I am looking forward to meeting you and show you some beautiful parts of Japan! :) PLEASE KINDLY NOTE: * Travel insurance is NOT included in any tour, please have one. * If you have any FOOD or MOBILITY restrictions pls advise me. * WALKING is well involved in the case of TOKYO (approx. 15-20K steps). THANK YOU for reading my profile, have a SAFE and HAPPY travels!

At the edge of Greater Tokyo and less than 100km from the metropolis, HAKONE is part of the so called Fuji - Hakone and Izu National Park and it's by far the most visited National Park. What to do and visit might be hard if you don't know the complex geography of the area and how to avoid the crowds. HAKONE is a famous destination to view Mt. FUJI (weather permitting). You can see the mountain from the famous Lake Ashi and from some off the beaten path sites, only known by locals and reachable by car. Hakone is a very mountainous area and it's considered a natural dividing line between East and West Japan. You will see and understand all that with your eyes. We can include a nice sightseeing cruise (30" min) to feel the tranquil atmosphere of Lake Ashi, a visit to a historical tea house managed by the 13th generation owner, light to moderate hikes that are like a natural therapy for your soul, an art museum or a beautiful garden (time permits) before returning to your hotel in Hakone or at Odawara Station.
Mitsuru has worked with many of my clients in the past and has been absolutely incredible. He is communicative, professional and extremely knowledgable about the Hakone area and I thoroughly enjoy working with him. I highly recommend him to anyone visiting this area!
Mitsuru did a great job. He showed us off the beaten path places like a 400 year old tea house. We had a great time even though Mt Fuji was hiding!
We had a wonderful day with Mitsuru who showed us around Hakone. Everything was very thoughtful, the picnic, the areas he took us to. He was very receptive to our preferences - whether we wanted to hike or go to certain places. He was so welcoming and gave us a thorough understanding of the area. We are truly grateful for Mitsuru's care and passion and would highly recommend his tour.
This was a great tour which allowed us to visit some of the best spots around the area of Hakone but mostly away from the more touristic areas. Mitsuru made sure we had everything we needed to keep us happy for the day and was ready to adapt things to suit us. Loved the picnic at the top of the lookout over the bays!
We thank Mitsuro for giving us a wonderful day in Hakone and then Fuji. We went to eat a local gyoza restaurant, visited the Open Air Museum and even made an emergency stop at the Premium Outlets for a bathing suit. He was trustworthy, personable and an absolute pleasure. Thank you, Mitsuro! We will surely recommend you to our friends and family.
Tour was amazing and guide was excellent! It was a beautiful experience that we will remember forever
Full day tour of Hakone to see its main attractions and off the beaten sites as description. Pictures shown in this tour are examples of Hakone in 4 different seasons. We can stop for lunch (NOT included). The order of the places to be visited might differ as hotel location, traffic / lines, timing etc might interfere. I can manage the tour / logistics accordingly. You can request the typical popular, busy sites: Hakone Shrine, gondola ride (waiting time in line can be reach 1 hour on high season), Owakudani black eggs if you prefer.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
A comfortable minivan from/to Odawara Sta. or from your hotel in Hakone area.
Odawara Station, Odawara, Kanagawa, Japan
Your hotel in Hakone or at Odawara Station. Additional fee to meet you at your hotel in Tokyo. Odawara Sta. is the gateway to Hakone and the closest bullet train station. From Tokyo, it takes only 33" min from Tokyo Sta. or about 2-2,5 hours from Kyoto Sta.
