Hi I am Hiroshi, a national government licensed guide , living in Yokohama more than 30 years. I have been working as a tour guide since 2017. I was born in Kita-Kyusyu which is in the north side of Kyusyu island and studied at an university in Tokyo and Kanagawa. After graduate from the university, I joined to a very well known electronics company and worked there about 30 years. During my business career, I had opportunity to live in United States; New York, Philadelphia and Puerto Rico, about 8 years. Addition to that, I visited more than 30 countries in Asia, Middle East, Europe, South and North America, and Oceania. Through the overseas experience I recognized difference of cultures in regions in the world. It means I can communicate with clients from all over the world. At the same time, I learned that the general recognition about Japan was from industries aspect not from culture or historical aspect. I like Japanese history very much but while staying in abroad, I found that Japanese were not properly recognized. Because of that I started to study Japanese history more than ever and still I am reading books and attending seminars to deepen my knowledge about Japanese history and culture. At the same time, recently I am learning nature in various seasons. I believe my knowledge and experience amplify enjoyment of clients' interest while being in Japan. My main territory is Tokyo, Yokohama, Kamakura and Hakone. And addition to that, I have experience to guide in Kyoto, Hiroshima and Nikko. In 2022, I was certified as English speaking Adventure Travel guide by Hakone DMO which is a subsidiary of Hakone local government. To be certified, I spent almost 150 hours for studying, walking in Hakone and making presentation. Through this experience, I become more familiar to Hakone including people, history and nature. Addition to this certificate, I took a program for Wildness First Aid and Leave no trace trainer course. With above things, I have confident than ever in conducting my tour not only from knowledge aspect but also from security aspect, too. Please join to my tour to maximize your enjoyment. I am waiting for your visit to my beautiful country. - National government licensed tour guide( English) - Certified Domestic itinerary control manager - Certified English Speaking Adventure Travel guide in Hakone - Certified Wilderness First Aid by Wilderness Medical Associate - Leave no Trace trainer Due to the restriction of Japanese law, I can not drive while guiding

Great guide in a lovely area.
Wonderful and unique day in Hakone! Hiroshi-san was punctual, efficient, and highly knowledgeable about Hakone. In addition to the usual tourist spots, we visited lesser known places such as a roadside traditional teahouse and a Japanese woodcrafting workshop where I was able to purchase a beautiful handcrafted pair of chopsticks. Additionally, he gave me many suggestions on how to enjoy other parts of Japan, including a detailed itinerary for his hometown of Yokohama. It is clear that Hiroshi-san has put a lot of time and effort into his tours, so that his guests will leave with a deep respect and understanding of Japanese history and culture. Highly recommended!
Hiroshi was a fantastic guide! He knows Hakone like the back of his hand and navigates the complex public transportation system with ease. He took us off the beaten path and introduced us to incredible local sights we never would have found on our own. He even rearranged our entire itinerary to maximize our chances of seeing Mt. Fuji, tracking the weather throughout the day to make sure we had the best possible experience. He was incredibly communicative and made meeting up seamless. We absolutely loved our tour and can’t wait to return to Japan for more adventures with Hiroshi!
Our guide was amazing! He helped form itinerary and customized with what we wanted to do and see in Hakone. He even met us out at our hotel, out of the way so we didnt have to deal with getting on the wrong train potentially from tokyo. Everything was efficient and on time. Lunch spot was delicious too. Then enjoyed a lovely and relaxing private onsen! Highly recommend!
Hiroshi was a wonderful guide. He made our day in Hakone awesome and made sure we saw everything we requested and more. Loved the special “tea house” visit. Thank you Hiroshi for an amazing day. Look forward to taking another tour with you next year. Client: Zachery Bachman
Hiro was extremely knowledgeable of all the places. It rained pretty bad on our day but he gave us various back up plans which we still saw great sights! He was the best camera person for pictures and patient with my bad knee. He also knew the best places for food and snacks. This was our first time to Japan and don't feel we would have been able to see as much if not for him. He even gave us recommendations for things in days we didn't have a guide.
