I am a full time driver / guide with almost 25 years experience giving Private Tours around my native city and surrounding counties. Prior to that my wife and I had a pub in the Shandon area of the city, in the shadow of Saint Anne's Church where you can hear the famous bell's ring out. My interest are travel , we have traveled to many exotic places around the world and while traveling to these destinations and taking tours by local guides , gave me a taste to share what I know about my city . Private Day Trip for Cruise Ship Passengers arriving to Cobh!
Overview of your Cork tour
This tour is by far the best for value . Leaving Cobh where your ship is docked our first stop is Blarney Castle and Gardens. The castle is home to one of Ireland’s magical attractions the legendary Blarney Stone. Kissed by people from all over the world including statesmen and stars from the movie world. Our next stop is a five minute walk from the castle , Blarney Woollen Mills said to be the largest Irish shop in the world. Leaving Blarney behind us we take a quick drive through Cork City as we make our way to Kinsale . We take a stroll through the narrow and colourful streets steeped in the town’s unique 1000 years of history. The town is also known for its many award winning restaurants. Before we make our way back to Cobh we visit Ringfinnan Garden of Remembrance dedicated to the 343 Brave Firefighters who died so heroically in the line of duty on September 11th. 2001in New York . Before we part company we take in a short tour of the town of Cobh again another town steeped in Irish history.

Liam is a very good tour guide, friendly and personable with a detailed knowledge of Irish history, and especially the County Cork. We began our day with a leisurely stroll around Blarney Castle and it’s beautiful gardens and grounds (avoiding the very long queue to climb the Castle stairs to kiss the stone, at our request), then toured Cork city, with a leisurely drive through the Cork countryside to have lunch and walking tour in the beautiful town of Kinsale. On our return drive through the countryside we stopped at a moving memorial garden to American 9/11 first responders who lost their lives and at Midleton Distillery to sample some exceptional Irish Whiskey, ending with an interesting tour through Cobh where our ship was docked. Liam provided detailed information about all the sites we saw, which greatly enhanced our experience. We highly recommend Liam as a tour guide.

The day Liam was AWESOME!! There is NO WAY we could have seen or learned as much as we did on our own or on a big bus. Liam was so knowledgeable of the history of everything we saw. He was able to get us in and out of places in good timing. He took photographs of our group everywhere we went. He knew all the good locations for great pictures. The stories he shared were so entertaining. He even took us out to a September 11 memorial we had no idea was there. It was great! We learned SO much on this tour! We had an AWESOME day!

We did the shore Excursion tour to Blarney & Kinsdale with Liam. What a great experience, He went out of his way to make our day special! We asked to change up the itinerary and Liam went above and beyond. We wanted to see the old family farm and the cemeteries where family had been buried. Liam went to the cemetery beforehand to see if he could locate the graves. We also went to the Blarney Stone Castle and Kinsdale. Liam was interesting and informative. Would definitely recommend Liam!

Had a fantastic tour with Liam. He is a great storyteller and historian. He took excellent care of us and adjusted the tour to our needs. He even got us to Blarney ahead of all the tour buses and was able to get in without queuing (which meant we got to see a lot more of Cork/Cobh. I would highly recommend Liam.

Liam was a great tour guide. He got us to Blarney before the bus crowd arrived and showed us the gardens. Kinsale was the highlight of the trip and stopping by Middleton on the way back. Enjoyable day.
