When your cruise docks in the Mykonos port, see the best of the town on a private shore excursion. Enjoy some of the best views of Mykonos and its surroundings while your private guide explains historical facts and mythological stories about the island. Explore the narrow streets and alleys of the old town and Little Venice. You will also have free time to go for swim and lunch at Agrari Beach. The travellers have choose this tour as their favourite because we avoid morning big lines of groups walking in the narrow streets of Mykonos town, make a stop always for refreshment and washroom and the most favourite of the travellers before we get back to the cruise ship we stop for a taste of the traditional food in local tavernas. ** Mykonos can be hot, so bring sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses. Sensible walking shoes are a good idea as the paving can be uneven.
Ervin was great Highly recommend him
Ervin was fantastic! He knew exactly where to take us and where we should go when to beat the tourists and get the best pictures. He personalized our tour by sharing his personal experiences and taking us through the life of a local at Mykonos. His communication skills were outstanding, he was very accommodating, and he is also a great photographer!
Ervin was wonderful. He was knowledgeable, organized, and GREAT. Ervin sharing his life growing up in Mykonos and giving us more history about the island giving us a better understanding of Mykonos. (more than the Windmills and Beaches). Spending time with Ervin we also learning about the fish market and his timing spending time fishing with his family. I look forward to our next visit to Mykonos and hopefully being able to spend more time with Ervin. If you need a tour guide in Mykonos reach out to Ervin.
Ervin is an excellent guide. He is knowledgeable, thorough, helpful, and very amicable
Ervin was our guide for a half-day private tour of Mykonos, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our cruise. He was waiting for us right on time, and just like on all of our private tours, we asked to see a few of the iconic sights before getting away from the tourist crowds and experiencing the real Mykonos. Ervin understood exactly what we were looking for. We started early to beat the crowds, visiting the famous windmills and Little Venice before making our way to the lighthouse. Along the drive, he pointed out the multimillion-dollar celebrity homes complete with private helipads, and we even stopped to see the baby goats that are native to the island. The panoramic views from the lighthouse were absolutely stunning. From there, the tour became something special. Ervin took us away from the tourist areas and into the village where he grew up and still lives today. We visited the local town square where families were attending church services, gathering with friends, and enjoying lunch—giving us a genuine glimpse into everyday Greek life that most visitors never experience. He also introduced us to one of his favorite local shops where we enjoyed incredible fresh phyllo pastries, including one filled with creamy local yogurt and another with spinach. They were some of the best snacks we had during our entire trip. We continued exploring several of the island’s beaches and even took a few minutes to dip our toes into the crystal-clear Aegean Sea. The cool water was incredibly refreshing after the summer heat. Because Ervin has lived on Mykonos his entire life, he offered far more than just a sightseeing tour. He shared the history of the island, explained how daily life has changed over the years, how land and property ownership work, how locals once harvested salt from the salt flats, how the traditional fishing villages operated, and how large-scale luxury developments are changing many of the island’s beaches today. It was fascinating to hear the perspective of someone who has watched the island evolve firsthand. Overall, this was an outstanding experience. Ervin’s local knowledge, relaxed personality, and ability to customize the day made this feel more like exploring Mykonos with a friend than taking a tour. He also managed the timing perfectly, getting us back to the ship well ahead of departure while avoiding the heavy traffic around the port. If you’re looking for more than the standard tourist experience and want to discover the authentic side of Mykonos, I highly recommend booking a tour with Ervin.
This tour was exactly what we were hoping for because it gave us the opportunity to experience Mykonos through a local's eyes. Ervin was an outstanding guide whose knowledge of the island, its history, culture, and way of life made every stop more meaningful. We began with the iconic windmills and Little Venice before heading to the Armenistis Lighthouse, where the panoramic views were absolutely breathtaking. While those sights were beautiful, what truly set this tour apart was Ervin's local perspective. He took us beyond the typical tourist attractions and introduced us to a charming village where locals live and gather, giving us a much deeper appreciation for the island. One of the highlights of the day was an impromptu tasting of local cuisine that Ervin thoughtfully arranged for us, even though it wasn't part of the original itinerary. It felt like a genuine insider experience and allowed us to sample authentic flavors we might never have discovered on our own. From the beautiful beaches to the hidden corners of the island, every stop felt personal and authentic. If you're looking for more than just a sightseeing tour and want to truly understand Mykonos, this is the experience to book. Ervin's local connections, flexibility, and passion for sharing his home made this one of our favorite days in Greece.
Stop 1 ✧ Windmills and Little Venice The windmills are the quintessential features of Mykonos landscape. Little Venice is one of the most romantic places in Mykonos. This neighborhood is replete with elegant and gorgeous old houses that are situated precariously on the edge of the sea. Stop 2 ✧ Take in the Views from Armenistis Lighthouse Some visitors tour its sunset vistas but for daytime touring, it's the island views that will wow you. The drive up to the lighthouse takes you up steep elevation until you settle at what feels like the top of the island. From there, you'll have unparalleled views of neighboring Syros and Tinos. Stop 3 ✧ Panoramic view of the old town (Chora) Coming down from the Armenistis Lighthouse driving through the old farm and Agia Sophia Church we make another stop on top of the old town for some pictures and enjoy the panoramic view of the old town. Stop 4✧ Discover Mykonos' Second Town, Ano Mera Stop 5✧ Dip in the Aegean at Agrari Beach
