Highlights of Bremen's Old town

Discover Bremen! During this entertaining tour through the historic city centre, I will show you the market square, the famous Böttcherstrasse, the Weser promenade and the Schnoor quarter with the tiny houses and narrow lanes. You'll learn interesting things about the history of the old Hanseatic city and curious facts about life in Bremen, including amusing little anecdotes. One of the things you learn about at the market square, also known as the "living room" of Bremen, is what Roland is all about. And you'll hear why the town hall has been built between 1405 and 1410 exactly at this place. We will visit the statue of the Bremen town musicians and you'll hear the fairy tale of it. In Böttcherstrasse you'll find out what decaffeinated coffee, art and Germanic peoples have in common. We will also get along the Weser promenade and you will learn about the history of Bremen's past as a trading city with different harbours. In the Schnoor quarter, everything is really small.
