Moin (as we say in Bremen) dear guests! My name is Jasmin Nitzschner and I am a passionate tourist guide. As a native of Bremen, strictly speaking, Bremen-North, my love for my hometown is deeply rooted. Even as a child, I loved visiting museums, and on school trips I always felt like I was the only student who was excited when we visited a castle or other historical relics, or when a city tour was announced as part of the program. Since history was always my favorite subject at school, I realized quite early on that I wanted to do something related to history or museums for a professional career. While studying history at the University of Bremen, I discovered how fascinated I was by the history and stories of my hometown. After completing my master's degree, I did a two-year scientific internship at an exhibition in Bremen-North, which also dealt with part of Bremen's history. One of my tasks there was to guide groups of visitors through the exhibition. That was the “foundation stone” for my work as a tourist guide. After completing my internship, I started working as a freelance tourist guide. For a while, I also worked at the Denkort Bunker Valentin memorial site, where my duties included guiding groups of visitors through the memorial. I have now been working as a self-employed tourist guide for over eleven years — more than five of those as my main profession - and I still really enjoy it. In Germany, there is no state-regulated training for tourist guides. For this reason, the Federal Association of Tourist Guides in Germany (BVGD e.V.) has developed a qualification course in collaboration with European partners that meets the European minimum standards for professional tourist guide training with at least 600 hours of theory and practice. I completed this DIN EN certification in 2024. Let me take you on an unforgettable journey through Bremen! I look forward to seeing you! No restrictions

Discover Bremen's Überseestadt – one of the most exciting and dynamic districts. Here, centuries of port history meet modern architecture, innovative urban planning, and creative city life. Join me on a journey through time from historic port operations to today's Überseestadt – a district that has changed more than any other in Bremen. Where you now find impressive office towers, stylish lofts, restaurants and creative start-ups, the heart of Bremen's port industry once beat. The historic halls were once stacked with general cargo from all over the world, cranes dominated the skyline and the smell of distant lands hung in the air. I will show you how the former port area has been transformed into one of Europe's largest urban development projects. Today, you can discover impressive reminders of the past in Überseestadt - such as the restored "Schuppen Eins" (Shed One). Next to it, you will find modern residential buildings, art in public space and many little stories just waiting to be told.
- Pick up at agreed location - See two port basins - See "Speicher XI" (from the outside) - See "Schuppen Eins" (if the tour takes place during the opening hours from the inside) - See "Überseeinsel"
