Let me show you where Hitler chose to reside over a period of time in the spectacular Bavarian Mountains, feel the history and experience the many local traditions throughout the year. I was born in Harare, Zimbabwe and then moved to South Africa in the early 80's. For the past 29 years I have been living in Berchtesgaden, Germany. I studied zoology and botany with the intention of becoming an entomologist. At this time in South Africa, a very exciting and traumatic political period made me develop an interest in history and how it affects our future. After backpacking around Europe for some time, I returned to South Africa and met my future (German) husband back in Cape Town. Love at first sight, a story in itself. Four months later, I ended up in Berchtesgaden, Bavaria/Germany, where I have lived since 1990 with my husband and our four children. Wow, what a beautiful place to live in, with the Königssee, Bavarian mountains and of course the historic sights of the Third Reich, Eagles Nest, Obersalzberg Berghof (Hitler's house), bunkers and more. I would like to share these wonderful landmarks with you, with a tailor-made tour according to your interests. In 2011 we bought a dormant farm, which we have reactivated as an organic farm, breading domestically endangered animals that were in Berchtesgaden and the alps since a few hundred years. Mountain farming can be very challenging but also rich in cultural tradition. We continue to learn by trial and error and are enjoying our exciting journey. I have been working as a tour guide since 1996 and have been certified as a specialized guide for Third-Reich themes by the Munich-Berlin Institute for Contemporary History, which allows me to give tours of the Documentation center Obersalzberg. I have done several agricultural courses through the Agriculture department Germany. None
