Discover Bavaria’s alpine paradise on a full-day adventure through the crystal-clear waters of Königssee, the tranquil beauty of Obersee, and the towering Röthbachfall—Germany’s highest waterfall. This scenic tour includes a relaxing electric boat ride, a lakeside hike, and a traditional Bavarian lunch at the historic St. Bartholomä peninsula. Perfect for nature lovers and photographers seeking an unforgettable day in the Berchtesgaden Alps.
1. We meet at Berchtesgaden Hbf to review the itinerary before taking the bus to Schönau am Königssee. 2. Upon arrival, we’ll buy tickets and board an electric boat to Salet. Boats run every 15–30 minutes. 3. From Salet, we walk to the serene Obersee for breathtaking views and photo opportunities. 4. Optionally, we can continue past the lake to Röthbachfall, Germany’s tallest waterfall (2 hrs round trip from Fischunkelalm). 5. After the hike, we return by boat and stop at the iconic St. Bartholomä peninsula. 6. There, we’ll enjoy a picnic by the lake or lunch at the historic fishery restaurant. 7. Boats back to Schönau depart every 30 minutes; the last boat leaves between 17:10-18:30 depending on the season. 8. Once back in Schönau, travelers may explore small shops and cafés before we return to Berchtesgaden by bus.
