Overview of your Nice tour
Let me lead you to a valley that I frequent so often for its quality of life, its history and its mountains. The farmers here are committed to perpetuating traditional know-how. I hang out with them so much that they have become friends. We will drive into the hills behind Nice to meet local farmers and taste specialties like olive oil and tapenade, nougat, jams, honey. . . with lunch at a farm, if you wish. After visiting scenic Peillon, we will stop in the tranquil village of L'Escarène, which is home to a traditional stone olive press operated with a water mill. Then we will drive further up to visit a farmer who makes fig and honey nougats, as well as jams with fruits from his ancient trees. After enjoying a homemade lunch at the farm, we will drive through the Peillon Valley for its spectacular mountain views. On the way back, we will stop in the unspoiled villages of Peille, where we may enjoy an apéritif in a local Bistrot with the locals.

This off beaten tour will take you to villages and scenic roads that are between 30 minutes and 1h20 from Nice. It is fully customizable depending on your interests and may include the following stops: - Peillon: one of the most beautiful perched villages of the coast - L'Escarène: a peaceful village whose traditional stone olive mill is still in use - Lucéram: a medieval village on a rocky outcrop, famed for its santons (Christmas figurines) - Coaraze, an ancient village surrounded by farms and olive groves where you can get a real feel for local life During the course of the day we will stop at farms to sample local products and meet the farmers, who work the terraced slopes just as their parents and grandparents did.
